Guest of honour for the event was Matt Hampson OBE, former England Under-21 rugby player, who officially opened the event to the public.
Matt’s involvement is pretty fitting — as after his life changing spinal injury in 2005 he became a big voice for rehabilitation and independence through his Matt Hampson Foundation. The Foundation provides advice, support, relief and treatment for anyone aged 16 or over suffering serious injury or disability which has primarily arisen from participation in or training for any sport or sporting activity, it helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.
